If I start today, how soon will I be able to see the dentist?

We are now able to activate members the same day so you can use AmeriPlan Dental® the same day you join. By joining online through this website, you will receive an email receipt with your AmeriPlan ID number. Take this receipt to your dental appointment and share it with dental office assistant. The assistant will then be able to call AmeriPlan® through a toll-free number on the receipt and verify that you are an active AmeriPlan member.

How much can I expect to save by using AmeriPlan Dental®?

How do I find an AmeriPlan Dentist?

You can also click on the Find A Dentist link and view a 2 minute video for assistance. Then click on the button link below the video and enter your zip code. Below each dentist's name is a sample fee schedule that will give you quotes on dental procedures. If you would like the full fee schedule for your area, make your request by going to the Contact Us page and be sure to include your zip code to receive the fee schedule for your area. An email response will be sent within 48 hours.

What about orthodontics or dental braces? Is it included?

Everyone is included - adults and children. There are no age limits. The discount for an orthodontist is less than a family dentist, but the savings is still usually a thousand dollars or more depending on your zip code. You can locate orthodontists in your area along with a sample fee schedule. To the right of the orthodontists name, you'll notice the sample fee schedule link. Can I use AmeriPlan Dental® as a supplement to my dental insurance plan?

Yes, it can be used both as a supplement and a primary plan. Since most dental insurance plans don't include braces, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, etc., AmeriPlan® can provide you a reduction in the high cost of these procedures. Additionally, dental insurance plans have annual limits (usually of $1,000 to $1,500 a year). AmeriPlan® is there for you and your family when your dental insurance reaches its cap and you need extra help before the end of the year. Keep in mind that until you exhaust your dental insurance annual limit, some dental offices may not permit you to use both at the same time - unless the procedure is not included with your dental insurance.

What type of cosmetic dentistry does AmeriPlan® include?

AmeriPlan® accepts a wide range of cosmetic dentistry - that includes bleaching, white fillings, esthetic partials, caps, braces, teeth reshaping, veneers, etc. After joining, the Membership Information Guide that will be mailed to you will detail all the procedures.

I need to fill a prescription at the drug store. Can I start today and go to the pharmacy tomorrow and use my free prescription service?

No. Before you can use the prescription, vision and chiropractor care you will have to wait until you receive your membership card in the mail - usually within 7-10 working days from your sign-up date.

I checked with my pharmacy to see if they accept AmeriPlan® and they didn't know. What should I do next?

When you get your membership card in the mail, take it to the pharmacy and show them the prescription drug logo on the card. This will identify one of the largest pharmacy networks in the country and most likely your pharmacy will be one of the over 50,000 pharmacies that honor this membership. Until your membership packet arrives you may review our home page for a partial list of top national pharmacy chains that hope to serve you.

After I complete the online application, what can I expect to receive in the mail

Within 7 to 10 working days, you can expect to receive your membership cards, member information guide and a directory of all the health and dental providers in your area. The directory will also contain a complete list of fee schedules for every dental procedure.

Is this insurance?

Unlike insurance, our program has NO waiting period, NO paperwork, NO annual limits, and all ongoing dental/medical conditions (except orthodontic treatment already in progress) are included. Plus, several other advantages like instant savings are outlined on the home page. While it is not insurance, AmeriPlan Dental® is a discount service that saves people up to 80% on dental care. Some refer to it as a "discount fee for services" program.

If I decide later that the program isn't for me, can I quit anytime?

Yes, you may cancel at anytime.

I like to travel in my motor home from state to state. Can I use AmeriPlan Dental® while I'm away?

Do I have to use one of your providers?

Yes. All of our providers are fully qualified and licensed professionals who have met all requirements to be on our list. If you do not see your dentist on the list, you will be able to complete a postcard in your membership kit entitled "Are you missing your favorite dentist?" If you mail that completed card, the company will be glad to contact your dentist on your behalf. You will be able to view all participating dentists and health care providers.

If I choose AmeriPlan Health® or Dental, is there a limit to the number of people living with me that can use my card?

No, there is no limit as long as everyone lives at the same mailing address. This can include roommates, grandchildren, your mother-in-law, etc.

I work for a small company that doesn't have a dental insurance plan. Can our employees join AmeriPlan® as a group?

Yes. We offer group memberships to any company or organization of five members or more.
